The International X-ray Observatory is being developed by an international collaboration between the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). In addition, scientists and engineers from national laboratories and universities are involved in developing IXO to ensure it can meet its science goals.
